Fredonia Hosts Southeast District Horse Judging CDE!
What an awesome day at the Fredonia Fairgrounds! Our chapter had the honor of hosting the Southeast District Horse Judging Career Development Event (CDE).
Two of our students represented Fredonia in competition, while our FFA officer team worked hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
Congratulations to all the participants on a great day of learning, leadership, and teamwork!
Special Olympics Cornhole Competition — Today in Girard!
Our Special Olympics team is on the road to Girard today to showcase their skills in cornhole! Over 30 students from Lincoln Elementary and FJSHS are competing and representing Fredonia with pride.
Good luck to our athletes — aim straight, toss true, and rack up those points!
Fredonia FFA Competes in Horse Judging!
Our Fredonia FFA Chapter is representing USD 484 today at the Horse Judging Contest held at the Fredonia Fairgrounds!
Students are putting their knowledge, observation skills, and decision-making to the test as they evaluate horses in various classes.

Junior High Wrestling Parent Meeting — Tonight at 6:00 PM
All Junior High wrestling families are invited to a parent meeting tonight, Wednesday, October 15, at 6:00 PM in the FJSHS Commons.
Meet the coaching staff, learn about season plans, and get important information on practices, competitions, communication, and athlete expectations. Both new and returning families are encouraged to attend!

Fredonia High School Art Students Attend “Raku-Fest” at NCCC
On Friday, October 10, several Fredonia High School art students attended the first-ever Ceramic Festival — “Raku-Fest” — at Neosho County Community College.
What began as an idea for an art contest evolved into a full-day, hands-on creative experience designed especially for high school artists. Instead of competing, students spent the day learning together — participating in raku-firing sessions, workshops, and interactive art activities.
The event gave students a chance to explore ceramic techniques, connect with fellow artists, and experience the energy of NCCC’s campus art community. The hope is to make this a biannual tradition, bringing high school art programs together each fall and spring to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and clay.
Families and friends came together for Popcorn & Puzzles, enjoying laughter, teamwork, and plenty of smiles as they pieced together puzzles and shared a tasty snack.
It was the perfect way to unwind, connect, and make memories with one another. A big thank-you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make the afternoon so special!
Lady Jackets at Caney tonight — C-Team is starting the night off at 4:00pm.
JV and Varsity will begin at 6:00 PM vs Galena & Caney. Final regular-season run before next week’s Quads. Let’s finish strong!
The Fredonia JV Yellowjackets are headed to Caney this evening for a Monday night matchup under the lights! Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM, and the Jackets are ready to bring the energy, teamwork, and grit that define Fredonia football.

Volleyball starts the action at 4:30 PM — expect strong serves, quick sets, and hustle from start to finish.
Then at 6:00 PM, our Junior High Football team takes the field ready to bring the sting! The Jackets have been working hard all season, sharpening their defense and finding their rhythm on offense — and they’re fired up to put it all together under the Thursday night lights.
Come out and cheer loud, Fredonia fans! Let’s fill the stands at 700 E Bullpup Blvd and show Caney what Jacket pride looks like!
Our three incredible leaders pour their hearts into our students every single day, and it shows.
