Junior High basketball at Caney on Tuesday, January 27 has been canceled due to Caney being out of school. We’ll keep everyone posted if a reschedule is confirmed for next week.

Jacket Nation will return to school tomorrow, January 27, with a two-hour late start. School will begin at 10:00 AM. Breakfast will not be served, and bus routes will also operate on a two-hour delay.

We ask families to continue using caution while traveling. If you transport your child or your student drives themselves and conditions in your area are unsafe, please contact the school office in the morning.

The Lady Jackets are back on the court in Uniontown for their final game of the Ken Holt Memorial Tournament, taking on Christian Learning Center at 4:00 PM in the North Gym at Uniontown High School.

Last night at the Ken Holt Memorial Tournament in Uniontown, we were proud to recognize the following Jacket athletes and cheerleaders for their outstanding commitment to excellence in the classroom, earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Girls Basketball: Jocelyn Morgan, Rylie Reynolds, Ava Baker, Grace Row, Lylly Stapleford, Tate Stewart, Kinzley Evans, Carleigh Compton, Chloe Compton, Abigail Bunyard Boys Basketball: Jayce Camacho, Noah Miller, Zeke Sims, Hunter Jankowski, Dean Walters, Kamden Barnett, Max Coulter Cheerleaders: Addie Finley, Aleigha Lyons, Abby Relph, Kadence Morrow, Millie McKenney We are incredibly proud of these students for representing Fredonia with class, character, and hard work—on the court, on the sidelines, and in the classroom. Jacket pride!

Updated brackets for Kenny Holt Memorial Invitational Tournament tomorrow. Please noticed the game times, they have been adjusted due to the winter weather heading our way!

With the approaching weather system, Junior High girls and boys basketball practice has been canceled for tomorrow, Friday, January 23. Please stay safe and warm.

Tonight’s Junior High games will be played at Wilson Gym, with a slight adjustment to the schedule due to illness and injuries.

B-Team Girls will tip off at 4:30 PM and play two quarters only. Games will then continue in the following order: B-Team Boys, A-Team Girls, and A-Team Boys. If possible, games may run ahead of schedule.

The Fredonia men’s basketball team takes the floor this afternoon for their second game of the Ken Holt Memorial Tournament in Uniontown vs. the Erie Red Devils! Tip-off is 7:30 PM in the North Gym at Uniontown High School. All-Academic athletes will be recognized after the men’s game.

Due to the incoming weather, the Uniontown Tournament schedule has been adjusted. Tonight, our All-Academic athletes will be recognized following the girls’ game. There will be time for photos before the boys’ game tips off.

On Friday, tournament play will begin at 1:00 PM. An updated bracket and additional fan information will be shared tomorrow.

Our Jacket wrestlers will remain at home this weekend, as Saturday’s High School Wrestling Tournament in Emporia has been canceled due to the forecasted weather. Stay safe and stay warm, Jackets!
