FHS VB Playing Philosophy:

Varsity: In order to continue to have successful volleyball teams, we feel that varsity volleyball has to be very competitive. All girls, grades 9-12, will have to compete with one another for spots on the floor. There is no such thing as “equal” playing time at this level. We will play the girls, who, in our opinion, make the Lady Jackets the most competitive. We are looking for girls who have the skills, ability, effort, and attitude to compete at the varsity level.
Junior Varsity: This level of play should also be competitive, but everyone will get a “chance” to play. This does not mean “equal” playing time. Those who have the skills, ability, effort, and attitude will be rewarded with more playing time.
“C” Team: This team is called “C” team because it could include girls in grades 9-11. This team should still be competitive, but the focus is truly on learning the game of volleyball.
