INTERNET SAFETY
The FCCLA Internet Safety Team has been working to keep the students of FMS safe while using the Internet. We have given out a survey that all students completed.
Some of the questions included:
1) Do you ever give out your personal information to someone you
don’t know?
2) Do you ever meet someone in person that you only know online?
3) Do you ever give your photo to someone you met online? Some students answered these questions always or sometimes, which helped us decide thatlearning about internet safety was important.
We developed a packet for each Homeroom in our middle school. The packets included an Internet Safety Pledge and an Internet Information sheet that each homeroom could discuss with their homeroom. We assigned an FCCLA member in each homeroom to assist the Homeroom teacher with the Internet Safety Pledge and discussion.
